These requirements necessitate the establishment of realistic in vitro biomechanical testing protocols designed that accurately replicate the complexity of the application,



while accounting for the variability in the population's anatomical and physiological characteristics. Research activities focus on optimizing cardiovascular life support systems and on designing and developing patient-specific phantoms for general surgery (pancreatic, hepatic, and renal), orthopedics and gynecology.
