Project Director, Capital Projects Location: Parma, Italy. The role supports GSK's mission to deliver reliable medicines and vaccines globally.
Key Responsibilities Lead end‐to‐end delivery of high‐value capital projects, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, quality, health, safety and environmental requirements are met.
Build and lead multi‐disciplinary project teams and manage external contractors and suppliers to achieve agreed outcomes.
Develop and maintain integrated project plans, budgets and risk registers, and provide regular status reporting to stakeholders.
Ensure engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and qualification activities follow regulatory and internal standards.
Drive stakeholder engagement and clear project communications, supporting business change and readiness for handover to operations.
Ensure alignment of project outcomes with business and organisational strategies, delivering fully compliant, validated systems and facilities.
Lead governance, compliance and risk frameworks across projects.




Provide coaching and guidance to team members and support capability building in project management practices.
Basic Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or a related field.
Considerable experience managing complex capital projects in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
Extensive knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements and validation processes.
Proven track record of delivering large‐scale projects on time and within budget.
Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Solid experience in project management tools and methodologies, project planning, risk management, contract management and change control.
Fluent in English and Italian; comfortable working across international teams.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills MSc or additional qualification in Engineering/Construction Management or a related field.
Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
