Global Process Engineer - CapEx and Capacity
The Global Process Engineer (GPE) works closely with the Global Manufacturing Engineering Leader, focusing on developing a strategy for capacity & CapEx aligned with long‐term customer demand and business objectives. They analyze data, work cross‐functionally to implement proactive measures that improve processes, drive cost reduction through standardization, and serve as a focal point for new technology introductions. They coach and influence a dotted‐line organization of factory manufacturing engineers across the Aero Alliance factories, leveraging analytical skills, lean methodology, and the guiding principle of creating process standards for equipment ("One Product One Process") to drive SQDC in line with business objectives.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop a strategy for capacity & CapEx aligned with long‐term customer demand and business objectives.
- Develop robust processes for CapEx prioritization aligned with SQDC & business objectives.
- Maintain global capacity models for the Aero Alliance shops utilizing Takt Cycle charts.
- Coach teams to improve output (Takt attainment) using lean tools and principles of waste elimination.
- Ensure CapEx aligns with a 1P1P approach of global standardization.
- Partner with channels on the development of new repair processes and qualifications.
- Collaborate with teams to build out takt cycle charts and capacity models for all Aero Alliance shops.
- Lead investigations into failures and chronic issues, identify root causes, and implement robust corrective actions.
- Provide technical support & train local shops for CapEx, Capacity, and developing flow lines.
- Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes or services.
- Use high‐level judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering.
