Naval Engineering & Marine Operations
team , you will be responsible for developing naval engineering activities related to floating structures and offshore installations, contributing to the design, analysis, document preparation, and technical review phases. The role involves involvement in the various project phases, from conceptual selection to basic design, FEED, tendering, technical evaluation of offers, and support for detailed and offshore installation activities.
Key activities:
Participate in the conceptual selection and basic/FEED/executive design for the conversion of floating structures or the construction of new structures such as FPSO, FPU, BARGE, FLOATING WIND
Prepare technical specifications, scope of work, functional specifications, metocean specifications and technical reports, collecting and commenting on the results of the analyses carried out
Develop and coordinate naval engineering activities in the concept, basic design, FEED, tender and detailed engineering phases
Develop and support hull structural design activities, hull girder longitudinal strength verification and fatigue analysis
Develop calculation models and contribute to the preparation of analyses, calculations and technical reports
Carry out hydrodynamic, stability, mooring, longitudinal hull girder strength and fatigue analyses studies
Support the review of technical documentation produced by external contractors, collecting observations and contributing to the verification of the technical consistency of the deliverables, with consequent evaluation of the offers and technical qualifications received up to the compilation of a technical tabulation of the offers
Perform or supervise offshore installation analyses
Support the follow-up of detailed engineering activities related to the offshore installation of fixed and floating structures
Support the preparation of specifications for Metocean Specification and functional specifications
Participate in technical project meetings, interdisciplinary coordination meetings, and interfaces with contractors, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines
Contribute to the maintenance of high standards of safety, quality and compliance with applicable business processes
Provide technical support to offshore projects related to the energy transition, including offshore renewables initiatives.
Required characteristics:
Master's degree preferably in Naval Engineering, Nautical Engineering, Offshore Engineering; different qualifications, even lower, may be taken into consideration following significant experience in the field
At least 3 years of experience in similar roles
Experience in performing and reviewing FEM/FEA analyses applied to naval and offshore structures
Knowledge of technical design and analysis software such as AutoCAD, SACS, ANSYS, FEMAP/Nastran, Nauticus Hull or equivalent, OrcaFlex and tools for hydrodynamic, seakeeping, mooring or CFD analysis is appreciated.
Ability to develop global and local models
Familiarity with international standards (ISO, IOGP, API), main requirements of Naval Registers or IACS Classes
Solid knowledge of floating structures and the main naval design issues applied to offshore units
Familiarity with stability analysis, seakeeping, CFD and mooring is appreciated.
Experience in offshore installation studies and in evaluating assets,
operational sequences and installation time windows is appreciated.
Good knowledge of the English language
Availability for national and international mobility, including possible assignments to construction sites, contractors, or offshore sites.

We offer a gross annual salary between €60,000 and €75,000.
The final offer will be formulated in accordance with the professional experience, technical and transversal skills possessed by the resource, functional for the role and appreciable by the company.
In the presence of particularly relevant professional experience and technical and transversal skills, the Company may evaluate an offer with an improved classification/RAL level.
