About the Role

As a Welder, you will be responsible for transforming raw materials into finished products by accurately interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. You will play a key role in maintaining production quality and meeting project timelines while adhering to strict safety standards. Your work will directly support the reliability and performance of the company’s fabricated parts and assemblies.

1st Shift - M-Th 4:00am to 2:30pm

Key Responsibilities

- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine fabrication requirements and sequence of operations.
- Measure, mark, and lay out materials accurately using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Cut, grind, and finish metal components using hand and power tools to meet specified dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform welding operations using GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and plasma cutting equipment as required by each job.
- Fit and assemble components, ensuring proper alignment, weld preparation, and structural integrity.
- Inspect fabricated parts for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications, making adjustments as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organised work area and perform basic equipment checks to support safe and efficient operations.




- Follow all shop procedures and collaborate with team members to complete jobs on schedule.

Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in metal fabrication within a shop or industrial environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication instructions with high accuracy.
- Proficient use of hand and power tools for cutting, grinding, and finishing metal components.
- Working knowledge of GMAW, GTAW, FCAW welding processes and plasma cutting techniques.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and consistent use of appropriate PPE.
- Solid mechanical aptitude with attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances.
- Reliable work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.

Desirable Skills:
- Experience fabricating to customer or industry-specific standards.
- Familiarity with basic fabrication math, including measurements, angles, and tolerances.
- Exposure to jig and fixture setup for repetitive production work.
- Ability to operate additional shop equipment such as press brakes, shears, or rollers.
- Experience with basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Formal training or apprenticeship in welding or metal fabrication preferred.
- OSHA safety training or certification beneficial.
- Relevant welding certifications (e.g., AWS) considered an advantage.
