ppRINA is currently recruiting for a bMarine Floating Offshore Sector Senior Surveyor /b to join its office in bGenova /b within the bMarine Special Ships Excellence Centre /b Division. /p h3Mission /h3 pThe Senior Surveyor serves as an experienced and knowledgeable professional within the organization, applying expertise in maritime Rules, Regulations, and industry principles.The Senior Surveyor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement of surveying processes. /p h3Key Accountabilities /h3 ul liProfessional Specialist: /li liActs as a professional specialist, applying in-depth knowledge of Rules, Regulations, and industry concepts. /li liKeeps abreast of new developments and recommends changes to surveying processes and safety programs. /li liInspection and Reporting: /li liConducts routine surveys on classed ships, offshore installations, or marine assets to ensure compliance with classification and statutory requirements. /li liPrepares technically accurate and timely reports of inspections and surveys. /li liLeadership and Coordination: /li liPlans, schedules, and coordinates various phases of surveying work. /li liMonitors the quality of service, providing guidance to less experienced surveyors. /li liClient Interaction: /li liEngages with clients to solve problems within the area of expertise. /li liEnsures client satisfaction through effective communication and resolution of issues. /li liTraining and Development: /li liProvides guidance, and training to less experienced surveyors. /li liContributes to the development and improvement of the skills and knowledge of the surveying team. /li liQuality Assurance: /li liEnsures the maintenance of quality, content, consistency, and continuity of work performed. /li liEthical Conduct: /li liUphold the highest ethical standards in all professional interactions, ensuring integrity, transparency, and fairness in survey processes. /li /ul h3Education /h3 pMaster’s Degree in Naval Engineering /p h3Qualifications /h3 ul liIn general, minimum 3 years’ experience working as a Surveyor or minimum 6 years’ experience in the engineering or inspection/survey fields with an IACS member Classification Society. /li liUnderstanding of RINA strategic technical positioning in the sector of the marine industry /li liProficiency in the English language commensurate with the scope of classification, statutory certification, related services and, before assignment,



with their future work. /li liAbility to develop a working knowledge of RINA Rules, Guides, statutory regulations, and related instructions, as well as the RINA Employee Safety Policy. /li /ul ul liAbility to understand engineering plans and have knowledge of shipbuilding practices and ship operations. /li /ul pAbility, in general, to perform either, /p pnew building surveys: /p ul li− to assess the suitability of certified materials and products supplied for the new building, /li li− to assess that hull, machinery and equipment have been built in compliance with rules and regulations by means of compulsory inspections, tests and trials, /li li− to issue Certificates, Reports, Records and Status in compliance with rules and regulations. /li /ul pAnd/or: /p pship in service surveys: /p ul li− to assess that hull, machinery and equipment have been maintained in compliance with rules and regulations by means of compulsory overall inspections, tests and trials, /li li− to assess and follow-up the repair works to hull, machinery and equipment to assign a new period of class and a new period of validity to statutory Certificates in compliance with rules and regulations by means of overall and close-up inspections, verification upon dismantling, tests and trials (including surveys for Admission to Class of ships in service), /li li− to attend major conversion works according with rules and regulations, /li li− to identify the deficiencies to be rectified (if any) and assess whether immediate repair is necessary or a condition may be issued with an appropriate due date, /li li− to follow-up as required by rules and regulations any repair work or due to previous outstanding conditions, /li li− to assess whether the deficiencies identified (if any) may be linked with potential failure of the Ship Management System, /li li− to endorse Certificates, issue Reports and Status in compliance with rules and regulations. /li /ul pAnd/or: /p pMarine Management Systems audits /p pAnd/or:
