Role Description

We are seeking a professional and personable Bartender for a full-time, on-site position at Caffetteria Palazzo Avignonesi in Montepulciano . The successful candidate will prepare and serve cocktails, wines, spirits, coffee-based drinks, and non-alcoholic beverages while maintaining the high service standards of the San Bartolomeo di Caselle Hospitality Group.

Key responsibilities include:

- Welcoming guests and providing attentive, professional service
- Preparing and serving cocktails, mocktails, wines, spirits, and other beverages
- Presenting local wines and products confidently to Italian and international guests
- Taking orders and managing cash and electronic payments accurately
- Setting up and maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area




- Monitoring stock levels and supporting inventory management
- Following hygiene, safety, and responsible alcohol-service procedures
- Collaborating with colleagues across the Group during daily operations, private events, tastings, and receptions
- Adapting the service style to different occasions, from relaxed daytime service to elegant private events

Qualifications

- Previous experience as a bartender in a bar, hotel, restaurant, or upscale hospitality venue
- Strong cocktail and mocktail preparation skills
- Good knowledge of wine, spirits, coffee, and Italian food and beverage products
- Excellent customer-service skills and a genuine passion for hospitality
- Professional proficiency in both Italian and English is mandatory
- Confidence when interacting with international guests
- Clear, courteous, and professional communication skills
- Experience using point-of-sale systems and handling cash and electronic payments
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, public holidays, and private events
- Ability to remain standing for extended periods
- Additional languages and previous experience in luxury hospitality are considered an advantage
- A positive, collaborative attitude and commitment to an inclusive and respectful workplace
