Education

* If not a graduate from an accredited program for medical assitants then two
(2) years experience in a medical office setting.

Experience / Qualifications

* BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare
Providers.
* Medical Assistance Certification preferred.
* Must have experience in medical assisting.
* Knowledge of healthcare software preferred.
* Experience as a medical assistant, patient care skills, examination,
diagnostic and treatment room procedures.




* Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work
environment.
* Must possess computer skills and customer service skills.
* Detail oriented and self motivated.

Position Summary

The Medical Assistant is a multi skilled specialist who assists the physician in
all aspects of the medical practice under the direct responsibility of the
physician. Responsibilities include assisting with the patient care management,
executes administrative and clinical procedures and performs supervisory
functions pertaining to position. Competency requires that the medical
assistant adheres to ethical and legal standards of professional practice,
recognize and respond to emergencies and demonstrates professional
characteristics.

* Obtains and documents vital signs and lab work.
