Senior R&D; Expert – Application-Focused Excavators
to join their engineering team. This is a brand new role
The Role
You will act as the technical link between European customer needs and global R&D; teams, developing and optimizing excavator solutions for demanding applications. Your focus will be on improving machine performance, reliability, and efficiency across key market segments:
- Demolition
- Material Handling
- Waste & Recycling
- Civil Engineering
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse customer requirements and translate them into engineering solutions.
- Define specifications for application-specific excavator variants.
- Develop concepts for attachments, hydraulic systems, reinforcements, and machine adaptations.
- Lead testing, validation,
and field trials with customers and dealers.
- Collaborate with global R&D; teams and technical partners.
- Support product strategy with market and competitor insights.
Your Profile
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in R&D;, product development, or application engineering within construction machinery.
- Strong knowledge of excavators
, hydraulics, machine integration, and specialized attachments.
- Experience in at least two areas: demolition, material handling, waste/recycling, or civil engineering.
- Fluent English skills and either Italian or German
- Willingness to travel internationally.
