DescriptionThe staff accountant is responsible for supporting the CFO and other finance staff members.
This position performs a multitude of accounting activities including accounts receivable, credit management, accounts payable and month-end reconciliations.
The position requires excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
A working knowledge of office processes and related computer software and electronic communication tools is essential, as is the ability to communicate with all levels of staff.
?Specific Responsibilities and AccountabilityVarious accounts receivable functions including receipts, cash application, invoice posting, collections and credit managementVarious accounts payable functions including invoice entry,



purchase order matching and payment processingAudit employee expense reportsVarious month-end close reconciliationsAssist with sales tax compliance and filingsAssist with internal and external financial and tax audit and examination processesAssists with ERP system management and reoccurring proceduresAssist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the departmentOther duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
The team member is expected to work in other areas of the accounting department when needed to assist operations and perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description.Experience & SkillsDistribution and/or manufacturing background preferred1-3 years of relevant experience preferredStrong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and OutlookExperience working with ERP systems preferredEducationBachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferredCompensation & BenefitsThis is an hourly position commensurate with experience.
