ppbNHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) /b is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and roles.
We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people, and to a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
/p h3The Role /h3 pThe Greater Glasgow and Clyde Adult Eating Disorder Service is a specialist service, working with adults with moderate to severe eating disorders.
The service is psychology led and comprised of a multidisciplinary team, including Clinical Psychology, Psychiatry, Nursing, Dietetics and Occupational Therapy.
The service provides direct individual and group treatments, as well as offering consultation to other services working with eating disorders both in community and inpatient settings.
/p pThe post holder will undertake both clinical and research / audit activities in line with service requirements, under the supervision of a qualified psychologist.
Clinical activities will be individual and group.
There will be strong links with the community AEDS team and links with other assistants across GGC will be encouraged.
/p pAn undergraduate degree in Psychology (recognised by the British Psychological Society) at 2:1 or above is essential.
Previous assistant experience and experience of working with eating disorder is a plus, but not mandatory.
An interest in eating disorders would be advantageous.
The post holder should however be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
The ideal candidate would have a desire to progress within a career in Psychology,



and the post provides good experience for the Clinical Psychology Doctorate Course.
/p h3Duration, Location, and Working Pattern /h3 pThis is a permanent, full-time post of 36 hours per week.
/p pThe role is based at Florence Street, G5 0YX.
/p pThe shift pattern is Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
