/ppAs part of our long-term growth strategy in Italy, we are launching a new commercial presence in Milan, with the project planned to start in bOctober **** /b.
/ppWe are looking for an experienced and proactive Business Development Specialist with at least 5 years of experience in international freight forwarding and logistics to support the launch and commercial development of our new Milan presence.
/ppWe are therefore looking for someone who is comfortable with a hands-on commercial role and motivated by the opportunity to develop a new market, rather than someone seeking an established management position.
The Milan office itself will be developed progressively as the business grows.
/ppThis is an opportunity to contribute to the development of Barsan's Milan presence from the very beginning, while being supported by our experienced team at our Italian headquarters in Modena, which includes dedicated operational teams and our own warehouse facility.
/ppbYour Mission /b /ppYour main objective will be to establish and develop Barsan's commercial presence in Lombardy and Northern Italy by generating new business opportunities and building long-term customer relationships.
/ppDuring the initial phase, you will work independently, focusing on business development and customer acquisition.
You will receive full operational support from our Modena office,



allowing you to concentrate on developing the market and creating new business opportunities.
/ppAs the business expands, the Milan office will progressively evolve into a fully operational branch with its own local team.
/ppbKey Responsibilities /b /pulliDevelop new business opportunities across Sea Freight, Road Freight, Air Freight and international logistics services.
/liliIdentify and acquire new customers.
/liliBuild and maintain long-term relationships with customers and business partners.
/liliPrepare quotations and negotiate commercial agreements.
/liliWork closely with the operations team in Modena to ensure excellent customer service.
/liliContribute to the establishment and future development of Barsan's Milan office.
/liliRepresent Barsan in customer meetings, networking events and industry activities.
/li /ulpbRequirements /b /pulliMinimum 5 years of experience in international freight forwarding.
/liliProven experience in business development and sales.
/liliExperience in Sea Freight, Air Freight and/or Road Freight.
/liliExisting customer portfolio and market network are highly valued.
/liliEntrepreneurial mindset with a proactive attitude.
/liliAbility to work independently and take ownership of projects.
/liliGood command of English.
/liliItalian native speaker or fluent.
