HV Control & Protection Manufacturing Expert

In this role you will drive the manufacturing approach for Local Control Cabinets across HV products, enabling efficient, quality-focused production and alignment with global standards. You will collaborate with engineering, vendors and regional teams to standardise processes, close capability gaps and support R&D; with practical manufacturing input. You’ll lead continuous improvement and ensure safe, cost-effective LCC assembly that meets customer specifications. This role offers impact across GIS, PASS, DTB, LTB, GCB, MECB, BESS projects and standards.

- Act as the single point of contact for Secondary Engineering and LCC vendors on manufacturing topics
- Define and share manufacturing methods to optimise resource use and reduce waste while maintaining Quality
- Collaborate with HV Control & Protection System Expert, ECAD Solution Owner and local engineering teams to align LCC manufacture with design intent
- Analyse international and national (UL/ANSI, CSA, IEC) requirements for Local Control Cubicles and harmonise standards




- Identify gaps and propose corrective manufacturing methods; ensure conformity with documentation and type tests when needed
- Review customer specifications to develop standardised secondary LCC manufacturing solutions and coordinate with BU and suppliers
- Apply lean methods, drive continuous improvement, and harmonise components across HV units to reduce variation
- Guide Secondary Engineers on LCC manufacture/assembly, liaise with vendors for efficient, safe production, and support PPAP with SCM when onboarding new suppliers
- Lead development and CI projects in the field of Control & Protection LCC manufacture/assembly
- Ensure knowledge transfer to design engineers and vendors, champion best practices, and maintain Hitachi Energy's quality expectations
- Comprehensive knowledge of Local Control Cabinet manufacturing in HV domain (GIS, DTB, LTB, PASS, GCB, BESS)
- Experience implementing protection and control schemes from technical documentation
- ECAD tool knowledge (E3 advantageous)
- Academic degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or similar
