JHC Consulting is seeking a Junior Business Analyst to join our independent advisory practice. In this role, you will support our principals as they provide private counsel to board committees and chief executives on matters of governance and strategy. We are currently engaged in a long-term mandate for an established Italian infrastructure group, and much of your initial work will involve analyzing their internal narratives and market position.

This is a full-time, permanent position that is conducted entirely in a remote capacity, allowing you to focus on the quiet work of reading and analysis from wherever you are most productive.

The Role As a Junior Business Analyst, your primary responsibility is to transform raw information into clear, logical arguments. You will not be building presentation decks or attending endless meetings. Instead, your day-to-day work centers on the following:

- Reviewing internal reports, financial statements, and meeting transcripts from the Italian infrastructure group to identify gaps in logic or hidden assumptions.
- Conducting deep research into specific industry challenges, regulatory changes, and competitive benchmarks that affect our clients.
- Drafting initial versions of internal memoranda that synthesize complex data into a coherent narrative.
- Fact-checking every claim made in our drafts to ensure that every sentence is supported by a clear source or a documented assumption.
- Assisting principals in preparing for board-level briefings by distilling vast amounts of reading material into brief, essential points of inquiry.




- Managing the version control of our formal documents as they move through successive rounds of revision and scrutiny.

What You Bring We do not expect you to have decades of experience, but we do require a high degree of intellectual maturity and a disciplined approach to your work. This is an entry level role suitable for a recent graduate or someone with early professional experience in research, law, or finance.

- A high standard of written English, with the ability to write in a plain, direct, and formal style.
- The ability to read dense documents and pull out the three or four points that actually matter to a decision-maker.
- Basic familiarity with business concepts, such as capital structures, corporate governance, and operational strategy.
- A preference for working independently and a high level of self-discipline in a remote environment.
- The courage to point out inconsistencies in an argument, even when that argument comes from a senior source.
- A degree in a field that requires heavy reading and structured writing, such as history, philosophy, economics, or law, is helpful but not mandatory.
