Due to significant growth in this sector, WSP is seeking to enhance the expertise of our Health, Safety and Security team. We are currently looking for a Health & Safety Worksite Specialist, Full-Time, based in Ispra, in the Province of Varese. In this role, you will join a multidisciplinary team supporting Nuclear Facilities Management and Safe Conservation activities in a highly regulated technical environment.
You will contribute to worksite health and safety activities, compliance monitoring and documentation quality, working with the guidance of experienced safety professionals while building your own technical autonomy. YOUR NEW ROLE, WHAT'S INVOLVED? Support worksite health and safety activities, inspections and compliance checks in line with applicable procedures and Italian legislation.
Prepare, update and maintain safety documentation, reports and meeting minutes in Italian and English where required. Work closely with operational teams, contractors, client representatives and internal safety professionals to support safe delivery on site. Apply established health and safety procedures with professional judgement, escalating more complex matters to the lead Safety Officer or Resource Leader.
Contribute to continuous improvement by supporting accurate reporting, follow-up of actions and clear communication across the team. You will be part of a technical team based fully on site in Ispra, supporting Nuclear Facilities Management and Safe Conservation activities. The work is carried out in close collaboration with safety professionals, operational teams, external contractors and client stakeholders, in an environment where safety, accuracy and documentation quality are essential.
The role reports to the Resource Leader and offers the opportunity to deepen your experience in a structured, regulated and technically complex setting. 3 to 6 years of experience in health and safety, worksite safety, compliance or a similar technical environment. ASPP certification or RSPP qualification. Working knowledge of Italian health and safety legislation, with specific reference to Legislative Decree 81/08.
Ability to prepare clear reports, maintain accurate documentation and follow established procedures with attention to detail. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical teams, contractors and client representatives. English level B2 or above, sufficient to understand technical documentation, prepare reports and participate in meetings.
Safety
Coordinator certification would be considered an advantage.
Contract type: full‐time.
Working model: full on‐site presence, 5 days per week.
Reports to: Resource Leader. Reports and meeting minutes may be required in Italian and English.
