Work Schedule
One primarily on-site coordinator is required. The normal schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Some approved classes, meetings, or events may occur outside normal hours.
Brief Summary
The U.S. Army is seeking one Family Advocacy Prevention Education Coordinator to provide nonclinical education, outreach, program coordination, recordkeeping, and administrative support for the Family Advocacy Program at Camp Darby.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, behavioral or health science, community or public health, or another accepted related field. Transcripts are required
At least one year of experience in family and children's advocacy, community-program organization, and family-violence prevention
English reading, writing, and speaking proficiency at Level 3 or higher
Experience delivering education or training related to child abuse, domestic violence, parenting, or healthy relationships
Strong communication, interviewing, assessment, presentation, and Microsoft Office skills
Ability to work professionally with military personnel, families, schools, medical providers, law enforcement, and community organizations
Ability to obtain required background clearance,
installation access, CAC, and applicable DOCPER accreditation
Ability to protect sensitive information and complete required security and Family Advocacy training
Military-community experience is preferred
Duties
Teach prevention classes on child abuse, domestic violence, teen dating violence, parenting, stress and anger management, communication, and healthy relationships
Provide annual briefings and training to military units, leaders, schools, Child and Youth Services, and community organizations
Coordinate Family Advocacy outreach activities, awareness campaigns, and special events
Create approved flyers, announcements, training materials, and other program marketing content
Maintain unit databases, training logs, attendance records, certificates, and program files
Enter program activity into the Client Tracking System and prepare required monthly reports
Coordinate educational referrals with the Family Advocacy Program Manager and medical personnelReport suspected abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities in accordance with Army policy
Support Family Advocacy meetings by preparing agendas, reminders, notes, and minutes
Maintain confidentiality and comply with all Government security and reporting requirements
