Summary
The client is a healthcare technology organization operating a multi-cloud environment that supports platform services and operational reliability. They are seeking a senior engineer to strengthen cloud operations, platform governance, and automation across Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure. The role combines reactive support with ongoing platform improvements and cross-team coordination.
Context & Scope
This role sits within an existing Cloud Ops and DevOps environment rather than a scoped project team. The work covers cloud platform support, observability, governance, infrastructure automation, and operational troubleshooting across Azure, AWS, and Kubernetes-based services. The engineer will help resolve ambiguous issues, drive platform changes, and support new initiatives while working as an embedded team member with broad ownership.
Tasks and Deliverables
Support day-to-day cloud operations across platform services, observability, and governance.
Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in a multi-cloud environment.
Work with Kubernetes and cloud-native services to maintain platform stability.
Support Azure services, including API Management, Front Door, and Container Apps.
Contribute working knowledge of AWS where needed.
Automate infrastructure delivery and code deployment using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
Participate in on-call rotations and off-hours maintenance or deployments.
Coordinate with other teams to define tasks, remove blockers, and drive work to completion.
Required Experience
Cloud engineering experience, comparable to L3/L4 scope.
Strong Kubernetes experience.
Strong Azure experience, including API Management, Front Door, and Container Apps.
Working knowledge of AWS.
Broad multi-cloud platform engineering background with depth in at least one area.
Experience with platform services, observability, governance, and troubleshooting.
Strong Terraform experience.
Strong CI/CD pipeline experience.
