Assistant Manager - Restaurant Operations

Position Overview

This is an hourly (non-exempt) leadership role that reports to the General Manager and ownership. As an Assistant Manager, you'll lead daily restaurant operations, making sure every guest has a great visit while keeping the location running to standard. You'll manage the team, the processes, and the flow of a shift - making sure policies, procedures, and service expectations are followed on the floor, in the kitchen, and at the counter.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Training & Development
- Complete all required training, including the Assistant Manager Development Plan, Basic Operations Training, Food Safety Certification, Manager Certification, and any additional courses assigned through ZaxBax.
- Make sure every team member is properly trained, coached, and developed so they grow and perform at their best.

Guest & Team Experience




- Ensure guests are consistently served with care and that the team goes above and beyond expectations on every order.
- Lead by example to build a positive, upbeat culture and keep team morale high through recognition and genuine appreciation.
- Keep a pulse on guest and team concerns, complaints, and incidents - responding quickly, respectfully, and keeping the General Manager informed.

Operations & Standards
- Keep service speed, food quality, and cleanliness at the level our guests expect.
- Make sure the team follows all Zaxby's Franchising LLC and ZaxBax guidelines, policies, and procedures every shift.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Use the management tools available to keep accurate, organized, and current records.

Leadership & Staffing
- Plan and delegate shift assignments, clearly communicating expectations and making adjustments as they come up.
- Coach and mentor team members to perform at their highest ability and work
