We are seeking a Senior Application Engineer with 8–12 years of experience to support a large-scale banking application modernization and migration program. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Scala, C#, AWS, containerized microservices (Docker/Kubernetes), event-driven architectures, and CI/CD pipelines, along with experience in SQL/NoSQL databases. Candidates must have worked on high-volume transaction processing systems, legacy application modernization, and reverse engineering of existing applications to identify integration touchpoints. Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor is mandatory. A background in banking, payments, or financial services is highly preferred. The role involves designing scalable cloud-native solutions, modernizing legacy applications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams while working remotely with significant overlap with US Central business hours.
