ppbDepartment: /b /pp36315 Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center - Nuclear Medicine /ppbStatus: /b /ppbBenefits Eligible: /b /ppNo /ppbHou /b** rs Per Week: /pp0 /ppbSchedule Details/Additional Information: /b /ppbPay Range /b /pp$38.20 - $57.30 /ph3Major Responsibilities: /h3ulliPrepares, administers and documents diagnostic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under the supervision of an Authorized User. /liliAdheres to department radiation safety practices. /liliObtains medications, radiopharmaceuticals, or contrast materials as directed for administration by a licensed practitioner, authorized/certified technologist, or registered nurse. /liliObtains brief patient history and records all pertinent information on finished exams (i.e., dose information patient data, dates, views, etc.). /liliVerifies the patient by using appropriate patient identifiers and prepares patient for the procedure. /liliExplains the procedure to the patient and parents/family members of the patient. /liliPerforms organ concentration and excretion measurements to provide diagnostic information of patient illness. /liliMaintains an on-going self-study program to ensure competence and knowledge in new techniques or radiopharmaceuticals. /li /ulh3Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required: /h3ulliRegistered by either the ARRT (N) or NMTCB required. /liliBLS required. /li /ulh3Education Required: /h3ulliGraduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT or NMTCB recognizes in Nuclear Medicine Technology. If a new graduate, must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date. /li /ulh3Experience Required: /h3ulliN/A /li /ulh3Knowledge, Skills Abilities Required: /h3ulliDemonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served. /li /ulh3Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: /h3ulliRequires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers. /liliHandling equipment and monitoring supplies.



/liliOral and written communication skills are required to interact with patients and hospital staff. /liliAble to frequently stretch, bend, twist, squat or kneel while operating all radiographic equipment. /liliVision and hearing for distances of up to 20 feet is necessary. /liliWill be required to carry weights up to 25 pounds. /liliMay be exposed to various physical conditions throughout the workday such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and being near moving equipment. /liliAble to adapt to changes in temperature and humidity. /lili50% of the work time is standing. /lili50% of the work time is operating computers, monitors, survey meters and other radiopharmaceutical preparations. /liliAll procedures or other job-related tasks involve an inherent potential for mucous -2- membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids/tissues, or a potential for spills or splashes.
