Since then, the branch has expanded and continued to grow, leading to its current retail presence in the country: 11 stores, including 2 seasonal openings, 1 pop-up store and 2 flagship stores located in Milan and Rome. /ph3Details of the job /h3pbOVERALL MISSION /b /ppThe Facility Construction Supervisor (FCS) is responsible for the development of retail projects for Hermès in Italy and Greece, and for the facility management of the stores of the subsidiary. The FCS plans, manages, and executes new store openings, extraordinary renovations and restyling projects. The FCS collaborates with architects, consultants, contractors, and all external and internal stakeholders (e.g. Operations, Visual, etc.) to ensure the projects are properly executed in compliance with Maison standards of excellence. Moreover, the FCS supervises the ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of all the stores in the subsidiary. /ppResponsibilities include coordinating store layout improvements consisting of store configurations or upgrades of existing stores; the supervision and accountability of project budgets, schedules and project design; and consulting retail teams to ensure requirements are incorporated into the project and critical timelines and project information are communicated. The FCS oversees the construction and completion of each location to ensure quality standards are met in a timely and cost-effective way. Moreover, the FCS supervises and supports the Facility Coordinator/Specialist in managing the maintenance of store systems, external warehouses, and the headquarters, ensuring buildings are maintained clean, functional and aligned with excellent quality standards. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3pbProject Management /b /ppDraft the store brief in the preliminary stages of the project; /ppDevelop comprehensive project plans, timelines and schedules from groundbreaking to store opening; /ppWork closely with the financial controller to assist with the overall planning; /ppHave budget accountability for the projects at hand; monitor construction costs, review invoices, manage change orders,
and minimize overspending; /ppEnsure the strip-out of former locations and their return to the landlord. /ppNegotiate contracts with external vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors; /ppConduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with design standards; /ppLiase with the safety consultant to enforce Health Safety regulations and ensure a safe work environment. /ppCooperate with the EME Hermès Construction Team and RDAI about the store concept; /ppReview the store layout and project milestone with the Retail Director and the General Manager; /ppCoordinate fixtures, signages and merchandising installations to ensure the store is ready for sales operations; /ppWork in alignment with operations to ensure adequate stock allocation and proper warehouse organization; /ppLiase with HR department for the optimization of staff areas (i.e. changing rooms, offices and welfare areas); /ppOrganize cross-functional activities with the IT department regarding all informatic systems (wi-fi, CCTV, POS, tills, etc.); /ppEnsure alignment with security guidelines; /ppProject the artistic heritage of the Maison in the stores. /ppbFacility management /b /ppDesign the facility management strategy; set and monitor yearly goals and expectations; develop a culture of excellence and continuous improvement for ordinary and extraordinary maintenance; /ppPlan and monitor facility management monthly and yearly activities; /ppSupervise and is accountable for the activity of the Facility Coordinator / Specialist /ppManage extraordinary interventions and is responsible for their implementation; budget adherence and respect of the timeline to minimize business closure; /ppEnsure alignment with stakeholders at EME and Group level. /ppPlan yearly activities, setting expectations and assigning tasks to the Facility Coordinator/Specialist; /ppSupervise the monthly and yearly activities of the Facility Coordinator/Specialist and provide ongoing feedback and coaching,
supporting his/her personal development; /ppSupport the Facility Coordinator/Specialist in the execution of his/her work. /ph3Profile /h3pProven experience in luxury retail project management; /ppUniversity degree in Architecture, or Interior Design, or Construction (preferred); /pulliAbility to manage multi projects at the same time; /liliInternal team coordination experience; /li /ulpExtremely organized, detail and deadline oriented. Rigorous, reliable and pragmatic.
