Director of Clinical and Medical Affairs

This is a global position reporting to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), providing leadership
for the Global Clinical & Medical Affairs department consisting of Clinical Affairs and Medical Affairs.
This position is critical to manage CORCYM’s clinical strategy, clinician engagement and medical
education activities in compliance with regulations and best practices.

Essential Functions

- Support the clinical interactions with customers and patients
- Responsible for company-related scientific/clinical content, including creation for outgoing materials
and interpretation of incoming materials
- Act as clinical and medical affairs expert for product development, risk assessment and clinical
evaluation; perform clinical review of clinical evaluation related documents
- Contribute to developing a clinical strategy program for CORCYM products for existing and emerging
applications, including but not limited to clinical study strategy, planning and execution, podium




presentation strategy in full compliance with regulation and transparency requirements
- Assist in the selection of advisory board members and contribute to generating clinical strategy
through advisory board interactions
- Oversee the selection and management of Investigator Initiated Research proposal
- Oversee the selection and management of Donations and Grants proposal
- With the support of the team develops robust programs for:
- Clinician engagement for CORCYM products for existing and emerging applications

- KOL relationship building and communication to support strategic objectives

- KOL engagements including contracts, event management and invoice submission in full
compliance with regulations and transparency requirements
- KOL maps for compliant engagement to support strategic objectives
- Selection, organization and communications for medical advisory board and
clinician round-table activities
- Support CORCYM presence at meetings for relevant medical societies by delivering presentations
and engaging KOLs for content preparation and delivery
- Manage medical education initiatives, provide support for related training activities including in person
events, virtual events, website content and electronic media, and provide clinical instruction
for internal and external audiences

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Domain knowledge in relevant therapeutic areas of cardiology and/or cardiac surgery




- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong work ethic with ability to multi-task and work independently
- Must be able to collaborate in team environment
- Excellent networking and relationship building
- Full professional proficiency in English
- Proficiency in French, Spanish, Japanese and/or Mandarin will be considered a plus

Education & Experience:

- 5-10 years of relevant Clinical and/or Medical Affairs Experience

- 5+ years of management experience preferred

- Degree in life sciences and/or advanced clinical degree (MD, PhD, DVM) preferable
