We are seeking a hands-on Atelier Manager to lead the production of our luxury leather handbags in Milan. Working closely with designers and a small team of artisans, this role requires full ownership of the production process from crafting prototypes to managing day-to-day atelier operations and mentoring junior talent. **What You’ll Do**
- Oversee end-to-end production of luxury handbags,
ensuring exceptional craftsmanship and finishing.
- Work directly with artisans to execute complex, delicate handwork using traditional leathercraft techniques.
- Translate design concepts into technically feasible, high-quality products.
- Train and guide junior artisans, maintaining consistent standards and preserving craftsmanship know-how.
- Lead quality control with meticulous attention to detail, every product must be flawless.
- Collaborate with designers to problem-solve during development and refine prototypes for production. Support sustainable practices by creatively managing materials and minimizing waste. **Who You Are**
- You have experience managing or leading a leather atelier, ideally in high-end or luxury handbags.
- You possess deep knowledge of traditional handcraft and leatherworking techniques.
- You lead by doing as this is a hands-on role, not just supervisory.
- You’ve worked closely with designers and small production teams to bring products to life.
- You are passionate about artisanal quality, craftsmanship, and sustainability.
- You speak English fluently, along with either French or Italian.
