We are hiring: Electrical Engineer, Milan (HV/MV Substation Project)

Fractera is a specialist Project Management Consultancy working on the owner's side of critical infrastructure across EMEA. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of DC substation project in Milan.

The role
You will provide electrical engineering expertise across design review and site supervision for a 220/20kV substation development. You will be the technical eyes of the owner: reviewing designs, supervising works, and making sure the installation meets the applicable standards, the grid operator's requirements, and the project specification.

What you will do
Perform design peer reviews of HV and MV electrical systems, including primary plant, protection, control, and earthing
Supervise electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities on site
Manage the technical interface with the DSO and grid connection requirements




Verify compliance with Italian electrical standards (CEI norms) and grid codes
Review contractor documentation, method statements, and test plans
Report technical findings clearly and maintain rigorous records

What we are looking for
Degree in electrical engineering
5+ years in HV substation projects (design, construction, or supervision)
Solid knowledge of Italian regulations, CEI standards, and DSO connection processes
Experience with 220kV and 20kV systems preferred
Fluent Italian and professional English
Based in or willing to work in the Milan area
