Job Description:DXC Technology Italy is looking for a Expert Software Developer to join the Custom Application Offering.ResponsibilitiesAutonomously design, develop and execute business and technical software solutions to implement new or enhanced applications (upgrades or conversions)Analyze, identify and resolve business and/or technical problems using appropriate solutions and toolsAct as a direct point of contact with Business Analysts and Project Managers to understand the business environment, technical context and organizational strategic directionContribute to the definition and maintenance of development standards and best practices within the teamProvide guidance and support to junior developers on delivery activitiesStay current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologiesWe RequireBachelor or Master Degree (a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc. is a plus)Experience and knowledge of Digital Development Services, Agile Application Development, DevOps, Cloud-based applications and Microservices architecture and patternsStrong technical experience writing code using languages: Java EE, Spring Framework (Core, MVC, Security, Data, Boot, etc.), Single Page Application frameworks, Microservices, Docker, design patterns and architecture design, and SQL/NoSQL databasesKnowledge of AI/ML technologies, such as cloud AI services, LLM platforms (e.g., Azure OpenAI), basic ML frameworks and integration of AI APIs into enterprise applications.Knowledge of software development processes (Agile, Waterfall) and DevOpsAbility to work with web-development tools for new applications with use of AI-assisted engineering toolsSolid understanding of modern software design and development methodologiesThe ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a problem-solving mindset, a focus on results, sound decision-making skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.Location: Roma (RM),
