BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The United Nations World Food Programme is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger.
The Human Resources Technology and Analytics Branch (HRMOI) serve as the digital backbone of the Human Resources Division, delivering standardized business processes, enterprise HR technologies, data, analytics, and digital solutions that support the full employee lifecycle across WFP.
HRMOI is organized into five workstreams:
•Payroll, Time and Audit Operations
•HR Technology and Talent Solutions
•People Analytics and Reporting
•Organizational Governance
•HR Enablement and Systems Adoption To support these priorities, WFP is now looking for an experienced Workday HCM Core consultant, to lead the Security, Org & Position Management stream of HRMOI, to act as a functional/product expert for the HCM Core deployment,
and thus to help enable WFP HR execute its HR Technology strategy through the implementation of Workday HCM Platform.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as stream lead for Security, Org & Position Management HR.
- Advise across multiple Core HR functional work streams as the expert in core HCM, security, org and position management
- Identify strategies, risks, and options, recommend approaches and mitigations to meet functional requirements
- Have an in-depth understanding of system functionality and integrations from a business purpose and impact perspective.
- Work closely with key stakeholders from the business to drive prioritization of feature requests and initiatives in Workday and integrating systems, reporting tools.
- Perform analysis of business and user needs, and document business requirements, features and functional specifications for the implementation of Workday Security, Position and Org Management
- Demonstrate design options using prototyping.
- Plan and manage cycle of post-go-live improvements
- Coordinate testing activities in coordination with various stakeholders (Business SMEs, Workday consultants) in the domains of security, position & Org management
- Manage Workday operations in close relationship with the Project Manager/Director and the project teams.
- Monitor and Manage defects in relationship with the Workday counterparts.
- Create and deliver project level documentation
- Identify, track issues and risks, communicate status and escalate concerns
- Any other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
University’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Human Resources, or related field of study.
Experience:
Workday Security, Org & Position management expertise
5+ years of consulting experience, preferably with UN context
2+ years of hands on experience of Workday Security, position and Org design and implementation
Experience with business analysis and solution design.
Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions within Workday.
Demonstrated commitment and achievement to delivery excellence and client relationship management
Demonstrated understanding of the cross functional dependencies and impacts to conversions and integrations
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines, despite conflicting demands.
Knowledge & Skills:
Knowledge of Workday business processes and configurations for HCM Core, Organizational & Position Management, Authorizations.
Knowledge of core HR concepts and processes.
Ability to facilitate cross-functional discussions.
Proven experience managing cross functional and multi-cultural teams
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and team with others.
Workday Product Management
Languages:
Fluency in oral and written English with an intermediate knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) or Portuguese (one of WFP’s working languages).
