Internship is designed for a student or recent graduate who understands that digital architecture should serve the clarity of the written word. You will support the technical side of our advisory practice, ensuring that the platforms used to host and distribute our signed memoranda are as disciplined and precise as the arguments contained within them. This is a fully remote position that offers the change to work alongside principals on high level strategy projects where digital presentation is becoming increasingly vital.

The Role In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and iterative improvement of our digital environments. Unlike traditional consulting firms that rely on visual presentations and slide decks, our work is rooted in long form prose. Your day to day activity will involve translating our specific structural requirements into clean, functional code.

You will work on the front end presentation of our internal archives and the secure portals through which our partners access their memoranda. You will spend a significant amount of time reading through our technical requirements and ensuring that every site update supports a distraction free reading experience. This involves troubleshooting, testing across different browsers, and optimizing page load speeds for heavy text documents.

You will also assist in managing our hosting environments and ensuring that our data security protocols are strictly followed during every update.

What You Bring

We are looking for an individual who treats coding with the same rigor we apply to writing. As this is an entry level role,



we prioritize a strong foundational understanding and a willingness to learn our specific methodologies over years of corporate experience. You should possess the following attributes and skills:

- A solid grasp of core web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

- Familiarity with at least one content management system or a static site generator.

- An interest in typography and digital layout, specifically how it affects readability for long documents.

- The ability to write clear, concise documentation for every technical change you implement.

- A disciplined approach to testing and debugging without the need for constant supervision.

- Competence in using version control systems like Git to manage code changes.

- Analytical thinking skills that allow you to trace a technical problem back to its root cause.

- Strong communication skills, specifically the ability to explain technical choices in plain English to non technical principals.

- The maturity to handle confidential information with absolute discretion.

As an intern, you will have ownership over the tasks assigned to you. We do not believe in the ceremony of constant meetings or the use of collaborative software for its own sake. Instead, we rely on written briefs and clear documentation.
