About the Role

We are looking for an experienced
Consulting Engineer – Networking
to join our Professional Services team in Rome, Italy. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, account teams, partners, and internal technical resources to design, implement, optimize, and troubleshoot Cisco networking solutions.

This is a customer-facing technical role that requires strong expertise in
Routing & Switching
, combined with experience in at least one additional Cisco technology domain, preferably
Cisco SD-WAN or Cisco SD-Access (SDA)
.

The ideal candidate will have strong network design and troubleshooting capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate customer business and technical requirements into effective network solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Cisco networking products, services, and solutions for customer environments.




- Work directly with customers to understand their technical and business requirements and translate them into practical network architectures and solutions.
- Provide technical expertise throughout the planning, deployment, implementation, migration, and optimization phases of customer projects.
- Take ownership of assigned technical tasks and project deliverables, ensuring successful implementation within agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Develop and review network design documentation, including
High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), implementation plans, migration plans, and change management plans
.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network issues across Cisco networking environments, acting as an initial technical point of contact for assigned customer engagements.
- Apply advanced troubleshooting methodologies to identify root causes and provide efficient, sustainable solutions to customer issues.
