JHC Consulting is currently supporting a partner based in Milan on a series of long term strategic mandates. We are seeking a Data Analyst Assistant to support our principals in the collection and verification of information. This is a full time position that is conducted entirely through a remote working arrangement.

At JHC, we do not view data as an end in itself but as the foundation for the written arguments we present to board committees and chief executives. This entry level role is designed for an individual who finds satisfaction in the quiet work of accurate research and the discipline of producing clear, factual summaries.

The Role

As a Data Analyst Assistant, your primary function is to provide the factual bedrock for our advisory work. You will spend your time gathering raw data from financial reports, industry journals, and internal records provided by our clients. This is not about building complex models or decorative visualizations.

Instead, you will be identifying patterns, verifying assumptions, and summarizing your findings in clear prose. You will assist in the preparation of initial drafts for our memoranda, ensuring that every figure cited is accurate and every source is properly documented. The work requires a high degree of focus, as you will often be asked to examine a single company or market segment in great detail to find the gaps in their internal narrative.

Because we operate without the use of slide decks, your ability to translate data into a written argument is the most important part of your daily routine.

What You Bring





We are looking for candidates who demonstrate a high level of intellectual maturity and a respect for the written word. While this is an entry level role, we expect a rigorous approach to analysis. You should have a basic understanding of how to work with large datasets and a familiarity with financial or operational metrics.

A background in economics, statistics, or a related field is helpful, but we prioritize the ability to think critically over specific software expertise. You must be able to write with clarity and precision, avoiding the use of filler language or vague generalizations. This role requires someone who is comfortable working independently and who takes pride in the accuracy of their work.

A curiosity about how large organizations function and a willingness to scrutinize official statements are essential traits for success in this practice.
