Job Description Within our AHL division (Appliances, HVAC and Lighting), our vision is to enable safe and high-performing products to enter the global markets by applying normative requirements and standards. We are looking to appoint an Engineer (m/f/i) with electric background to join our electrical controls team based in Carugate (Milan) and work on a hybrid basis . Responsibilities Independently determines project scope, performs product evaluation, drafts test plans and defines samples requirements by analyzing client requests and standard requirements; Operates within but not limited to the North America safety scheme mainly using UL/IEC 60730-1 family of standards; Autonomously determines project effort and time scheduling; Communicates with clients to share scheduling progress, explain UL procedures and requirements,



and discuss technical issues; Interacts with laboratory activities by preparing testing documentation and instructions for lab technicians; Develops customized test methods and set-ups for safety and performance testing; Provides technical assistance to laboratory and/or field staff; Serves as Project Handler and may sign as Reviewer as assigned; Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job; Proposes development of new and/or revised UL requirements; Projects may include travel to conduct or witness tests at client sites; May represent UL at industry-related functions such as seminars and trade shows; May interact with global technical leaders for specific product categories or requirements; May train office, field, and laboratory staff and entry-level engineers. Qualifications Master or bachelor degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), and/or directly related work experience; Minimum 2 years of work-related experience; Demonstrated ability to read and understand electrical schematics and bill of materials; Italian language (minimum C1) and English fluent; Demonstrated ability to ma
