Overview In this role you will support AWS Data Centers from design through maintenance, ensuring safe, reliable, and scalable infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive upgrades, capacity, and efficiency at hyper‐scale. You will engage in field work and site assessments to translate design concepts into practical, high‐impact solutions. Responsibilities Perform design and equipment submittal review for new Data Centers in your region Troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analysis, and document corrective actions for site/equipment failures Provide ad‐hoc training and review operating procedures for critical equipment and events Own conceptual design for data center upgrades to increase capacity, availability, and sustainability Collaborate with data center operations, design engineering, server hardware,



and EHS teams to maintain standards Manage concurrent projects across multiple regions Initiate and lead engineering audits, producing risk reports with mitigations Serve as resident engineer during new construction projects, supporting construction, commissioning, and turnover Qualifications Experience with mission critical facilities engineering (data centers, power generation, oil & gas) Business‐level fluency in written and spoken English Willing to travel between Data Center sites, and internationally if required Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent Preferred: knowledge of building codes and regional regulations Preferred: experience reading construction drawings and submittals Benefits Work‐life balance flexibility in working culture inclusive team culture mentorship and career growth diverse experiences opportunities to work globally #J-18808-Ljbffr
