Experteer Overview In this role you will help shape and lead the CUO Office for Continental Europe, driving underwriting governance and technical standards across Sompo's commercial insurance operations. You will work closely with European market teams to establish scalable policies, KPIs and onboarding processes, enabling underwriters to perform within clear governance frameworks. The position offers an opportunity to design new structures and processes that support underwriting excellence in a multinational setting. You will contribute to cross-functional collaboration and practical, data-driven solutions that manage exposure and drive consistent outcomes. and manage Letters of Authority onboarding and adjustments Design and deliver technical training programs; lead SME groups; track development and run accreditation programs Collaborate on policy development, risk appetite guidelines, and governance KPIs to ensure consistency across geographies Integrate multinational requirements into processes; analyze exposures for pools and update country-specific rules Provide guidance on complex risks; support product development and adapt criteria to emerging exposures Coordinate with actuarial, risk engineering, and portfolio teams to build tools, risk scoring models, and automation for underwriting Develop documentation and best-practice materials to standardize processes and improve efficiency across the organization Responsabilità Comprehensive understanding of commercial underwriting practices, policies, and risk management Ability to design, implement, and maintain scalable and compliant underwriting frameworks Experience in creating governance metrics for decision-making Proven track record leading cross-function
