Experteer Overview In this role, you will apply AeroX methods to design and optimize train aerodynamics and aero‐thermal performance. You will work within the AeroX team to run CFD simulations, conduct wind tunnel tests, and develop advanced methodologies for large‐domain analysis. You'll contribute to R&D; and collaborate with global sites to deliver high‐quality aerodynamic solutions for rail systems. This position offers the chance to influence performance, cooling, and overall efficiency of trains in a global mobility leader.
Retribuzione / Benefits Perform CFD analyses in design phase using Alstom tools
Predict aerodynamic performance (e.g., resistance, pressure pulses, crosswind response) using standard AeroX CFD methods
Assess aero‐thermal and internal aerodynamics (cooling, ventilation, cabin climate)
Specify aerodynamic requirements at train and subsystem levels
Prepare documentation for offers and projects related to aerodynamic performance
Plan, participate in,
and analyse wind tunnel or train tests
Collaborate with AeroX engineers across sites to exchange experience
Contribute to R&D; programs and work packages
Develop creative and innovative solutions
Responsabilità Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering degree BSc/MSc, or equivalent
5+ years in R&D; or Railways engineering with both experimental and numerical skills
Experience leading technical projects and small teams
Proficiency in at least one CFD package (STAR‐CCM+, CFX, FLUENT, PowerFLOW)
Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermal management, and fluid‐structure interaction
Management skills to lead R&D; actions with a transversal approachGood communication, pro‐activity, team working, and strategic vision
Advanced English; Italian is a plus
