The Role
- Participate in the assessment and delivery of evidence based smoking cessation interventions and other health promotion and prevention orientated programs as required in the community and acute care sectors.
- Provide a high level of professional clinical expertise in the area of nicotine addiction and smoking cessation throughout the continuum of care through the provision of direct clinical care and education to clients and healthcare providers within the acute sector of DoH.
- Facilitate and/or co-facilitate community-based cessation programs and liaise with community service providers.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term, tempo parziale, day worker position, working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible until 22 February 2027. Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
Classification
Registered Nurse, Grade 6
Salary
$118,297 - $125,543 per annum (pro rata) + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
- Current Driver’s Licence
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Holds, or is working towards,
relevant tertiary qualifications
Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
