Background Italia Srl, a Milan-based reputational due diligence and asset tracing firm, is looking for a motivated professional to join its investigative team tempo pieno. The selected candidate will support Italian and international clients on:
• Reputational due diligence on individuals and companies
• Background checks and pre-employment screening
• Asset tracing
• Structured OSINT research across open sources, media, registries, and databases

• Conduct in-depth OSINT research, cross-referencing data from multiple sources to identify reputational and financial risks relevant to the client
• Analyze corporate registries and judicial databases, as well as industry-specific sources (e.g. Cerved), to reconstruct corporate and personal profiles
• Verify and validate collected information, distinguishing documented facts from inferences
• Synthesize research findings into structured reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity




• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team’s research tools and methodologies

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the investigative/due diligence sector
• Proven proficiency with OSINT tools and methodologies
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Prior experience with industry-specific databases (e.g. Cerved, judicial/corporate registry databases)
• Precision, analytical rigor, and sound ethical judgment in handling confidential information
• Degree in Economics, Law, or Criminology (preferred)
• Knowledge of additional foreign languages (preferred)

• Hybrid working arrangement, based in Milan
• Placement in a dynamic, structured environment, with exposure to international due diligence and asset tracing cases
