Establish objectives for all lessons.
Assess family needs and provide developmentally appropriate information, guidance, and support to parents.
/p h3ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS /h3 ul liAssist in planning, creating, and implementing a dynamic preschool classroom environment conductive to learning to support the physical, social, and emotional development of children and families.
/li liProvide developmentally appropriate early childhood play?based activities for children and families birth through 5 years to encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem?solving.
/li liModel appropriate parent?child interaction and positive parenting techniques.
/li liSelect materials and activities appropriate for the program.
/li liCollaborate with team to develop lesson plans and share best practices to provide comprehensive services to the children and parents being served.
/li liAssist in completing and maintaining all documentation and essential records as required by the program in a timely and comprehensive manner.
/li liRepresent the District's Traveling Preschool Bus program at community events supporting children and parents.
/li liAssist in coordinating and promoting site visit locations in the community.
/li liAdvocate for parents in accessing resources and support services as needed.
/li liAssist with child developmental screenings.
/li /ul h3ADDITIONAL DUTIES /h3 pPerforms other related tasks as assigned by the Coordinator of Early Childhood,



Chief Instructional Services Officer, Superintendent or other district office administrator as designated by the Superintendent.
/p h3QUALIFICATIONS /h3 ul liAssociates Degree or College degree in early childhood education or a related field of study preferred.
/li liDemonstrate an appropriate level of knowledge about what promotes optimal parent?child interaction and birth–five child development.
/li liBecome qualified to administer developmental screenings.
/li li60 college credit hours from an accredited college or university; OR /li liSatisfactory score on Educational Testing Service ParaPro Assessment.
/li liValid Commercial Driver's License, Class B or higher (CDL) to operate a school bus.
/li /ul h3EXPERIENCE /h3 ul liMinimum of three years supervised experience working with young children and their parents.
/li liTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications.
