Offer Description
AMPLIF-AI aims to develop innovative prototypes of “smart” audio amplifiers for the automotive sector,combining high energy efficiency and Edge AI. The project addresses the evolution toward the Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) paradigm, in which peripheral components must act as intelligent actuators with standardized interfaces to the central unit. The core of the innovation is a smart amplifier with an integrated DSP for local audio signal processing,capable of handling speaker protection,linearization, and signature sound without burdening the central unit.The Class D multilevel architecture at 48V guarantees high efficiency even at low power levels,reducing EMI and wiring weight. The planned activity involves the design and characterization of interface circuits for voltage and current sensing at the output of the Class-D amplifier, along with the related A/D converters.
The public call with detailed attendance and selection rules (Art 3 and 5) can be found at: selections are open to candidates, Italian or foreigner, in possession,
on the date of the deadline for submitting applications for the admission to the selection, of a research doctorate (PhD) preferably in the fields of industrial or information engineering or equivalent qualification obtained abroad, or, for the sectors concerned, a medical specialization qualification. The educational qualification has to concern the research theme.
Candidates whom, on the date of expiry of the deadline for submitting applications for admission to the selection, are enrolled in the final year of a PhD course or a medical specialization course, provided that they are due to graduate within six months of the date of publication of the selection notice on the University's official notice board, may also take part in the selection process.Further specific assessable qualifications (see Annex A):
