​I’m currently working with an established renewable energy developer working on an exciting opportunity for an experienced HSE Manager to join their team in Italy.This is a broad, hands-on role covering both corporate HSE management and project-level HSE across the development, construction and commissioning of utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects.The RoleYou’ll act as the company’s HSE subject matter expert, working closely with senior management, project teams, EPC contractors and other stakeholders to ensure high standards of health, safety and environmental performance across the business.A key part of the role will be acting as CSP/CSE (Coordinatore per la Sicurezza in fase di Progettazione/Esecuzione) on Italian projects where formally appointed, ensuring compliance with Italian Legislative Decree 81/2008.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and continuously improve the company’s HSE management frameworkEnsure compliance with Italian HSE legislation and industry best practiceDevelop and maintain HSE policies, procedures, risk assessments and reporting systemsProvide HSE leadership across renewable energy projects from development through to commissioningMonitor EPC contractor and subcontractor HSE complianceConduct site inspections,



audits and safety reviewsLead incident investigations and corrective actionsIdentify and mitigate critical construction HSE risksPrepare, review and manage PSC documentationCoordinate HSE requirements between clients, designers, EPC contractors and other stakeholdersCarry out site inspections and safety coordination during project executionEscalate and address significant HSE issues and non-compliancesWhat We’re Looking ForSignificant HSE experience within construction, infrastructure, energy or industrial projectsProven experience supporting large-scale construction projectsUtility-scale Solar PV experience strongly preferredExposure to BESS and/or HV electrical infrastructure is a major advantageStrong experience managing EPC contractors and subcontractors from an HSE perspectiveStrong knowledge of Italian HSE legislation, particularly Legislative Decree 81/2008CSP/CSE qualification compliant with Italian legislationExperience with construction-site safety, risk assessments and incident investigationsComfortable working autonomously within a lean, fast-moving organizationGood working knowledge of EnglishValid driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to project sites across ItalyDiscipline(s): Renewable Energy, Grid and Storage, Corporate and Professional​Job type: Permanent
