**Human Technopole (HT)**is an interdisciplinary life science research institute, created and supported by the Italian Government, with the aim of developing innovative strategies to improve human health. HT is composed of five Centers: Neurogenomics, Computational Biology, Structural Biology, Genomics, and Health Data Science. The Centers work together to enable interdisciplinary research and to create an open, collaborative environment that will help promote life science research both nationally and internationally. **About the lab and project** Thyroid hormones are essential to drive metabolism and development. In humans, thyroid disfunction severely impacts cardiovascular homeostasis, metabolism, brain development and function, with increasing incidence Worldwide. We aim at characterizing the structure and function of thyroid organelles and pathways (including cilia and trafficking routes) in cells, organoids and tissues, by integrating cell biology and structural biology methods (including advanced light microscopy, electron microscopy and expansion microscopy). In the long term, this research lays basis towards improving diagnosis and treatment of major thyroid disorders and their relationships with other diseases. Human Technopole gives us a great opportunity to reach this goal at The Centre for Structural Biology with an excellent, international environment and cutting-edge scientific facilities. You are welcome to get in touch for details on the project to francesca.coscia[at]fht.org **See previous work on the research topics of this call**:
