Are you passionate about creating memorable events in iconic settings? We are looking for a **Banqueting Manager** to join the Food & Beverage team of Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort, a landmark seasonal hotel with 196 rooms and extensive meeting and banqueting spaces. **The role** Reporting to the Food & Beverage Management, you will oversee the planning and execution of banqueting and conference operations, ensuring high service standards across a wide range of events. You will lead a team largely composed of casual and agency staff, supported by an in-house Supervisor, working closely with the Executive Chef and Events team. **Key responsibilities**
- Manage and coordinate all banqueting and conference operations, from preparation to service delivery
- Lead, motivate and train the banqueting team, ensuring professionalism, engagement and service consistency
- Collaborate closely with Kitchen, Events, Housekeeping and other hotel departments to ensure smooth execution of events
- Oversee staffing, briefings and scheduling in line with forecasted business levels
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, hygiene and hotel standards
- Monitor service quality and stock levels
- Actively participate in service when required, maintaining a hands-on leadership style **What we’re looking for**
