Experteer Overview
In this role you design and engineer engineered-to-order power distribution and switching cabinets for data centers.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet schedule, manufacturability, and cost targets while producing 3 D models, drawings, and BOMs.
You'll manage engineering changes and ensure compliance with standards, enabling efficient prototype builds and smooth project execution.
This is a hands?on, fast-paced role that shapes critical electrical infrastructure for global customers.
Responsibilities
Create 3 D models for sheet metal and assemblies using CAD Produce complex drawings and bills of material for sheet metal, bus bar, and assemblies Write and release Engineering Change Orders in CAD and PLM systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project goals Interpret agency design standards (e.g., UL)
for products Create order lists for prototype units and coordinate material receipt with Project Managers Coordinate with ETO Engineering Supervisor for tasks and priorities Engage with ETO team members to brainstorm and resolve design issues Interact with outside vendors/suppliers as needed Possess knowledge of single and three-phase power and interpret related schematics Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent 5+ years of relevant experience or 10+ years with an Associate's degree or 15+ years with a high school diploma Strong planning, organizational, documentation, and communication skills Team-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment 3 D CAD experience required; preferably Solid Edge or Creo with sheet metal experience Oracle PLM experience is a plus (training offered) Simulation experience a plus (e.g., ANSYS) Ability to interpret electrical schematics and components such as fuses and circuit breakers
