Job Description
Freudenberg is seeking a procurement professional to manage and develop supplier relationships, support sourcing activities, and ensure efficient procurement processes within our product group.
Responsibilities
Collaborate in the development of cross?location product group orientations (e.g., global sourcing, strategic cooperation, bundling), incorporating lead buyer specifications and implementing future requirements and products.
Actively manage the supplier portfolio.
Further develop supplier relationships to achieve sustainable levels of price, replacement time, quality, process, technology, and risk for the product group.
Align activities with the commodity group orientation defined by the lead buyer.
Participate in supplier audits, if applicable.
Continuously identify improvement potential and implement solutions.
Initiate procurement processes, including gathering information on prices, vendors, and technical innovations for the defined material groups.
Define parts and material requirements based on prices, coordinating delivery options with division requirements.
Carry out price comparisons.
Determine source of supply and negotiate quantities, prices, delivery dates, and conditions—also in a foreign language.
For larger contracts beyond the right to sign, compile key data on turnover, structure, production and delivery possibilities, and assist with negotiations.
Prepare contracts and get them ready for signature.
Define and maintain scheduling agreements, outline agreements, and individual purchase orders (info record) in the system with all relevant parameters (lot size, scales,
postal code, unit prices, vendor master data, minimum order values, etc.).
Coordinate order placement by the Dispo Center.
Increase efficiency by implementing SAP automatisms such as order book, info record automatics, and integrating connected EDI suppliers.
Act as the first escalation contact after the Dispo Center for quality and delivery issues, invoice discrepancies, and enforcement of resulting claims.
Serve as the first contact person for price and condition deviations.
Ensure data quality in the ERP system, transparency, and control of local activities (master and transaction data).
Qualifications
At least five years of experience in purchasing.
Technical or business studies, or comparable training and work experience.
Business?fluent English.
Knowledge of SAP S/4 in MM.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
Minimum salary: €35,000 gross per year; compensation will be determined by qualifications, experience, education, and alignment with role responsibilities.
