CHIEF ENGINEER – 47m PRIVATE MOTOR YACHT
We are seeking an Engineer to join a new build 47m explorer yacht to be delivered in March 2027.
We are looking for a technically strong, hands‑on Engineer who is proactive and works well as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in remote cruising areas, strong references and good longevity in previous positions.
This is a private and charter program designed for exploration.
Employment Start Date: Oct 1, 2027
Location: Rossinavi Shipyard (Italy)
Contract: Full-time
Program: Private and light charter
Itinerary: First season in the Med (Summer 2027), World Cruising (TBD)
Vessel Delivery date: March 2027
Living Arrangements : shore-based housing provided in Viareggio until vessel is ready for crew.




Requirements Appropriate Chief Engineer certification for the vessel
Previous experience on similar-sized yachts
Valid Shengen Visa, if required (EU citizenship is highly preferred)
All certificates and documents up to date
Strong references and proven longevity
Excellent English and communication skills
Professional, positive and team-oriented attitude
Package Salary: $8,000 +/- monthly during yard period | $10k monthly once vessel is delivered in Spring 2027
Leave: 60 days annually | potential to turn rotational after 1 year
