DESCRIPTION OF RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

The researcher will analyse and interpret, with a critical eye, the regional organization of coastal spaces from a multiscale, trans-scale and diachronic perspective, as well as the process of economic, social, political and cultural territorialisation carried out by various human groups as their coexistence with one another and with other living species on the planet evolves.

The researcher must demonstrate an interest in and willingness to participate in research projects that have been ongoing at the University for some time, and to contribute to achieving the Research Sector’s objectives as set out in the Strategic Plan of the University of Cassino. The work will be carried out within the Time, Space and Structures Laboratory. Furthermore, the researcher will contribute to the research priorities of the Department and the EUT+ Alliance, bringing to bear their expertise in field research and the use of geotechnologies.





The researcher must demonstrate a commitment to securing competitive research funding and to collaborating with local authorities within the framework of the university–local community partnership.

DESCRIPTION OF TEACHING AND STUDENT SUPPORT ACTIVITIES:

The teaching commitment will take into account the current Regulations governing the teaching duties of research staff and the Geography programme offered by the University in first- and second-cycle degree programmes and postgraduate courses. The work must be characterised by pedagogical innovation and be applicable to the University’s English-language courses and within the EUT+ framework (joint courses with partner universities).

LANGUAGE SKILLS, SPECIFIC COMPETENCES AND THE THIRD MISSION.

An excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken) is required for teaching on international courses and for the publication of papers of international significance. Proficiency in the use of geotechnologies and thematic cartography will be taken into account in the assessment. The researcher’s duties will also include Third Mission activities, communication and the dissemination of research on their own initiative, as well as participation in activities organized by the University.
