Pete Tong DJ Academy is where the next generation of DJs and producers learns the craft, taught by some of the biggest names in electronic music. We're building a marketing and content operation to match: ambitious, fast, and obsessed with quality. The role

This is not a "cut the clips and export" job. We want an editor who thinks like a content creator, not a technician. Someone who feels a hook in their gut, knows exactly when a cut should land, and treats every frame as a chance to earn one more second of watch time. If you edit to a brief and stop there, this isn't for you. If you want your work to actually move numbers and reach real audiences, keep reading.

You'll turn raw footage from our mentors, courses and shoots into content that stops the scroll and holds it. You live social-first: you don't adapt long videos into reels as an afterthought, you think in vertical, in hooks, in retention from the first frame.

Social-first craft. You understand what actually wins on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts: pacing, rhythm, captions, sound design, the micro-decisions that separate a skippable clip from one people finish and share. You edit for the platform and the algorithm, not just for a clean timeline.

Videomaking, not just editing. You can shoot as well as cut. 4K phone shooting allowed (if it looks professional). On campus you'll help capture the raw material,



framing and lighting talking-head and performance content with an eye already on how it'll be edited. You see the whole pipeline from camera to publish.

Open to transformation and AI. The craft is changing fast and you're excited by it, not threatened. You fold AI tools into your workflow where they speed up the boring parts and unlock new formats, freeing you to spend your judgement where it matters. You're quick to test new tools and share what works with the team.

Driven by results. You care whether the edit performed, not just whether it looked good. You watch the retention graphs, notice where people drop, and bring that learning into the next cut. Strongly creative, genuinely accountable to what the numbers say.

What we're looking for

2 to 3+ years of experience editing and producing social-first video content. Fluent command of the standard editing toolkit and a real feel for short-form storytelling. Italian native, fluent English. A genuine enthusiasm for DJ and electronic music culture is a big plus, so the content reads as authentic to people who know the scene.

Full-time, in-person in Rome. You'll work on campus, in the room with a team that's obsessed with what it's building.
