This will involve influencing hydraulics systems architecture and design, working closely with local validation / test engineering teams and the wider global RD organisation. /p /brpYour focus will be on whole vehicle performance and optimisation, including influencing bhydraulic system architecture, hydraulic system integration, machine behaviour, /b andb control strategy. /b /p /brh3Your Role /h3 /brul /brliProvide technical guidance and expertise in the development, optimisation and performance of hydraulic systems and electro-hydraulic controls for excavator and wheeled loader platforms /li /brliWork closely with engineering teams in Europe and China to define, develop and optimise hydraulic system architecture, control strategies and machine behaviour /li /brliAct as a technical authority on hydraulic system performance, helping engineering teams resolve complex technical issues and make informed design decisions /li /brliWork with engineering teams to develop and evaluate hydraulic system concepts,



architecture and control strategies for current and future machine platforms /li /brliSupport the integration of hydraulic and control systems into machines, including system commissioning, testing and problem resolution /li /br /ul /brh3Your Background /h3 /brul /brliDegree qualified or equivalent in mechanical, mechatronics, hydraulic engineering or a related discipline. Also, excellent English communication skills. /li /brliYour background may include systems design, integration, test or validation leading up to becoming a hydraulics systems expert /li /brliYou will need significant engineering experience within the construction machinery sector working specifically on the hydraulic systems for entire machinesb (excavator machines platforms - essential) for construction applications - this is essential and non-negotiable /b /li /brliDeep understanding of hydraulic system architecture and integration, whole machine performance and optimisation (e.g. productivity, efficiency, responsiveness and operator control) /li /brliProven experience developing and improving the entire machine’s hydraulic systems and performance and not just designing hydraulic components (most likely gained from validation and field testing machines) /li /brliGood understanding of the interaction between hydraulic systems, electronic controls, powertrain and machine performance would be needed /li /brliProven relationships with hydraulic component suppliers would be very useful /li /br /ul /brpYou will be required to travel internationally, occasionally to China, to work with the wider engineering organisation and support prototype development, testing and technical reviews. /p /brpTypically, this is expected to involve several trips per year, depending on project requirements. /p /brpThis role is based bonsite 5 days per week /b in the Bologna area and is commutable from cities such as Modena, Ferrara, Imola, Reggio Emilia and Faenza.
