ph3Job Description /h3h3Position Summary /h3pUnder the direction of the Supervising Clinical Provider, the RN/LPN/Paramedic/EMT/MA provides direct patient care, in the office setting and in the patient home as needed, in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies and procedures of Island Doctors. /ph3Essential Duties And Responsibilities /h3ulliInterviews patients and triages each patient with a knowledgeable, confident and timely response. /liliRecords vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, height, and weight. /liliPrepares treatment rooms for examination for patients. Ensures rooms are clean and well stocked with supplies. /liliCleans and sterilizes instruments after each use. /liliInventories and orders medical supplies. /liliPerforms diagnostic testing such as EKG, Glucose test, INR, Urinalysis and Rapid Strep. /liliAdminister injections and IV treatments; draws blood for diagnostic testing. /liliCalls prescriptions into the pharmacy and faxes refill requests back to the pharmacy once approved by the Clinical Provider. /liliAssists patients over the phone in a timely and professional manner, maintaining patient confidentiality. /liliAssists Front Office as needed by answering phones, filing charts, scheduling appointments, etc… /liliPerform other duties as assigned. /li /ulh3Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities) /h3ulliActive RN, LPN, Paramedic, EMT or RMA license required. /liliBLS certification required. BMO preferred.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
