/p pWe are looking for abField Service Engineer specialised in Communications SCADA /b to join our growing Service team in Italy.
This is not your average field role — you'll be the technical backbone our clients rely on when it matters most.
When something goes wrong on a plant, you're the one who sees the full picture and knows exactly where to look.

Here's what your days will look like: /p ul liTake full ownership of customer issues related to communications, monitoring and control involving our inverters and battery storage systems, driving each case from first contact to resolution.
/li liAnalyse and discriminate faults across the plant — determining whether an issue originates in our equipment or in third-party systems such as PPC, EMS, SCADA or the wider communication network.
/li liWork hands?on with industrial communication networks (Modbus TCP/RTU and related protocols), interpreting registers, logs and data flows to pinpoint the root cause of any problem.
/li liSupport commissioning activities by verifying that our inverters and BESS communicate correctly with the customer's PPC, EMS and SCADA systems, acting as the go?to technical reference on site.
/li liUse data analysis to identify communication faults, performance deviations and control issues, and translate findings into clear, actionable corrective proposals.
/li liPerform on?site installation, commissioning, repair, maintenance and testing tasks,



while always following Health Safety procedures and applicable regulations.
/li /ul h3Your profile /h3 pAll right — now that you've got a feel for the role, let's talk about you.
To truly thrive here and build something meaningful over the long term, your background should look a lot like this: /p ul liA solid educational foundation in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications or Automation Engineering or a related technical discipline.
/li liStrong knowledge of industrial communication protocols — especially Modbus (TCP/RTU) — and familiarity with others such as IEC *****, DNP3 or OPC?UA.
/li liHands?on experience with SCADA systems, remote monitoring platforms and VPN/remote connections to plant assets.
/li liGood understanding of PPC and EMS platforms and how inverters and BESS integrate within them.
/li liData analysis skills to diagnose and discriminate communication and control faults across complex, multi?vendor environments.
/li liPractical troubleshooting capabilities on site, including a working understanding of AC/DC and Low/Medium Voltage systems.
/li liItalian and English language proficiency at C1 level or above; additional European languages are a plus.
/li liA valid driving licence — this one is essential for the role.
/li liWillingness to travel (approximately 60%) and to take on on?call duties, including occasional evenings and weekends.
/li liExperience with Battery Storage solutions and customer?facing work in critical or high?pressure situations are considered strong advantages.
/li liPreferably based in or around Milan.
