**RELOCATE TO IRELAND** **Job Title** Social Care Manager (Residential Services) **Role Type**Full-Time, Permanent **Hours of Work**40 hours per week (with on-call as required) **Salary**€57,000 + per annum _(Dependent on years of leadership or management experience in Social Care or Social Work)_ **Annual Leave** 22 per annum (pro rata) **Reporting To**Area Manager / Operations Manager / Proprietor **Locations Available**Dublin 12, Dublin 9, Dublin 6, Drogheda Town Centre **Regulatory Framework** The post holder will ensure the residential service operates in full compliance with: - Tusla National Standards for Children’s Residential Centres (2018)

- Child Care Act 1991 (as amended)
- Children First Act 2015 and Children First: National Guidance
- Tusla Registration Regulations and inspection requirements **Purpose of the Role** In accordance with the **Tusla National Standards for Children’s Residential Centres**, the Social Care Manager has overall responsibility for the **governance, management, and quality of care** within the residential service. The role ensures that children and young people receive **safe, child-centred, rights-based, and developmentally appropriate care**, while maintaining full compliance with safeguarding, registration, and regulatory requirements. **Key Responsibilities**(Aligned to Tusla National Standards) **Standard 1: Child-Centred Services**
- Ensure care is based on the assessed needs of each young person
- Promote children’s rights, participation, and voice
- Ensure individual care plans and placement plans are current and reviewed
- Support education, health, wellbeing, identity, and life skills development
- Support family contact, transition planning, and aftercare **Standard 2: Safe and Effective Care**
- Ensure children and young people are protected from harm
- Implement and monitor safeguarding and child protection procedures




- Ensure compliance with Children First and statutory reporting requirements
- Manage incidents, disclosures, complaints, and allegations appropriately
- Ensure risk assessments and behaviour support plans are in place **Standard 3: Governance, Management and Leadership**
- Provide effective leadership, accountability, and oversight of the service
- Ensure governance arrangements meet Tusla requirements
- Monitor service quality and implement continuous improvement
- Prepare for and respond to Tusla inspections and monitoring visits
- Ensure policies and procedures are implemented and reviewed **Standard 4: Use of Information**
- Ensure accurate, timely, and secure record-keeping
- Maintain compliance, care, and staffing records
- Use data and reports to monitor outcomes, risks, and service quality
- Ensure confidentiality and GDPR compliance **Standard 5: Workforce**
- Ensure staffing levels, skill mix, and supervision meet assessed needs
- Manage, supervise, and appraise staff
- Ensure all staff receive induction, training, and professional development
- Promote reflective practice and trauma-informed care **Standard 6: Use of Resources and Premises**
- Ensure a safe, comfortable, and homely environment
- Oversee health and safety, maintenance, and premises compliance
- Manage budgets and resources effectively **Multi-Agency Working**
- Work collaboratively with Tusla social workers, aftercare teams, education and health services
- Advocate for the best interests of young people
- Participate in care reviews and inter-agency meetings **Qualifications & Experience** **Essential**
- Degree (Level 7 or higher) in Social Work or Social Care
- **CORU registration**: - Minimum of **3 years post-qualification experience** in children’s residential care or social work practice
- Strong knowledge of Tusla National Standards and safeguarding legislation
- Experience supervising and managing staff **Desirable**
- Experience managing a registered residential service
- Experience supporting unaccompanied minors or refugees
- Experience leading services through inspections Pay: €57,000.00 per year
