PROTEINE_VEGETALI (CUP: B95B )
Plant Proteins: development and application of chemical, analytical, metabolomic and spectroscopic methodologies for the characterisation, traceability and valorisation of products in the plant-protein supply chain, as well as for the development of innovative systems for production monitoring and management using IoT technologies
Descrizione delle attività:(a) Type of teaching commitment
Teaching activities concern chemistry and environmental chemistry subjects within the scientific-disciplinary sector CHEM06/A (Chemical Foundations of Technologies), in bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree programmes offered by the Politecnico di Bari.
(b) Type of scientific commitment
With reference to the general scientific interests and the research activities carried out at the institution, the open position is reserved for candidates with proven and recognised scientific experience and expertise, as demonstrated by an adequate number of publications in international journals, in topics consistent with the scope of the scientific-disciplinary sector CHEM-06/A - Chemical Foundations of Technologies, with particular reference to one or more of the following areas:
metabolomic studies on plants and foods; analysis of agri-food products; nuclear magnetic resonance and/or mass spectrometry analyses using targeted and/or non-targeted approaches; food chemistry; production, processing and preservation of agri-food products, including through the introduction of IoT technologies; development of systems for field diagnostics in plant pathology.
Informazioni utili alla presentazione della proposta progettuale da parte dei candidati: The project proposal submitted by the candidate must address one or more of the following areas:
- development and application of chemical-analytical methodologies for the characterisation of plants, legumes, foods and products in the plant-protein supply chain;
- metabolomic studies using NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and other analytical techniques, based on targeted and non-targeted approaches;
- development of methods for controlling the quality, authenticity, origin and traceability of agri-food products;
- application of chemometric, statistical and artificial-intelligence tools to the processing and integration of chemical, agronomic, environmental and process data;
- identification of chemical, metabolic or spectroscopic markers associated with nutritional quality, cultivation conditions, processing and preservation processes, or the presence of stress and plant diseases;
- development and validation of innovative systems for plantdisease diagnostics, including rapid analytical techniques,
sensors and field measurements;
- assessment of the effects of production and technological processes on the composition, stability and functional properties of products in the supply chain.
The proposal must clearly describe:
1. the scientific context and the state of the art;
2. the general and specific research objectives;
3. the elements of originality and innovation;
4. the experimental, analytical and data-processing methodologies;
5. the work plan and its timeline, taking into account the two-year duration of the contract;
6. the expected results and the related achievement indicators.
Proposals characterised by interdisciplinarity, methodological robustness, applicability of the results, potential for scientific publications in international journals, and potential transfer of the developed methodologies to operators in the supply chain will be particularly valued. The proposal must not exceed 5 pages, excluding the bibliography
